Watercolour Question

For the first time ever, I have an empty watercolour pan :). So clearly, the colour I have been using most of all is Alizarin Crimson. That's because it's a lovely colour. Only - it's not very lightfast, and I am a little bit worried about that. Hence my question:

Do you restrict your use of Alizarin Crimson because it's not lightfast?

If so, do you substitute it with some other red? Which one?

Or do you get round the problem any other way?

Suggestions are welcome :)...

Some great watercolours I have seen recently:

I use cadmium red hue (the dark) instead with a touch of ultramarine blue to make my purples (see :devgold-seven tutorial) here... [link] But I am still temped to use alizarin ... it`s very beautiful.
