Spring (Gawain and Ragnell)

It's been a loooooong time since I last painted Gawain - mostly, I guess, because he can be so frustrating. He never looks right! But once in a blue moon he does, and *gasp* I even managed to mix up a good colour for his precious red locks. And for once I didn't mess up the other colours either. I must have been on a roll. Question is, can I do it again? O_o

Anyway.

This was painted on a new paper (yes, for someone who sucks so much at watercolour I do possess an awful lot of paper types - I don't know when to quit, I guess?!): Schleiper Aquarelle Grain EXTRA FIN, 300 g/m² - the Schleiper house brand. I really enjoyed working with it, though I expected it to be more like Grain satiné. The painting is A5 size.

Media: Caran d'Ache colour pencil (Umber) for the sketch, then Blockx and Winsor & Newton watercolours.

Time: 5 hours or something? Not counting the first drawings.
