Description
Reading a book in a nook.
There is NO basis in Arthurian literature for Gawain being bookish - but there ARE several Arthurian novels that show him as literate, which is rare enough. In The Once and Future King, he turns out to have the most lovely, old-fashioned handwriting; in Der rote Ritter, an Indian princess teaches him to write, and he keeps up a correspondence with Queen Guinevere, stressing repeatedly that he hopes that his ability to write does not detract from his knighthood . To my mind, an interest in writing is difficult to isolate from an interest in reading. And of course my Gawain's enthusiasm for reading is totally unconnected to my own ...
I love beautiful feet (feet, hands, noses, oh and ears! - those are the main things I like most about human anatomy), so I love drawing them too. It always appalls me when good artists fail at drawing nice feet, or seem unconcerned by drawing feet properly. I mean, I'm not a great artist and I manage to draw feet that look like feet. There is no excuse, good artists!

I must say that if your other image of Sir Gawain was a front cover, this one seems to be pure pin-up!
